In college in Malaysia, I love skateboarding. Though it is easy to control the sled. I myself have repeatedly fallen, so that eventually even the injured ankle. Because quite dangerous, not surprising that few teenagers who dare to play it.
I think during it, it's where keseruannya. The more dangerous, well more exciting! Right? Together with friends, I also acted in various places, from the campus, highways, shopping centers, just anywhere. Once graduated from college, I left skateboarding too. But, for me, there is an unforgettable lesson of skateboarding. Is it? Courage.
In a further sense, courage here can be interpreted as the courage to try, the courage to take risks, and courage to face failure. In my book with Love and Qolbu Marketing Marketing (with Aa Gym), this is what I call the Zest.
When you are faced with difficult choices such as wander, offering the goods, leaving a job, open a business, approaching the opposite sex and similar situations, it must begin to permeate your fear. Why? You are too concerned with the risk that you will receive, say suffered material loss and shame.
I challenge you, really do not think otherwise? Forget the risk and try to imagine the reward! For example, if successfully opened a business, then two or three years you will receive a reward, both in terms of money, leisure, and personality develop.
My own experience, since immersed herself in the field of marketing, untold number of failures I had experienced. Do not know why, all the failures that only made me 'love death' with the marketing field. I consider each failure as a challenge.
Failures actually stores the hidden wisdom of a very valuable lesson. Wisdom of the first, the failure is a learning process for you to perform even better in the future. Second, the failure can be a fertilizer courage and motivation of the best levers provided you sikapi positively. Third, the failure to realize that man is not perfect, so it takes you away from nature proud and arrogant.
Oh, well! I do not want to talk at length again. In closing let me ask, "As a marketer, if you have dreams?" Must have a 'right? I wholeheartedly recommend, as it is positive and your dreams while you still have a chance, so be it, just do it! Citing Nike's slogan, "Just do it!"

Alternatively, the opinion of a pilot who recorded the most victories over Germany during World War I, about courage? Or, the opinion of someone who survived after drifting for 22 days in the Pacific Ocean during World War II, about courage? Incidentally, all three are the same person. He is Eddie Rickenbacker. He said, "Verily, it is the courage to do what you fear."
